Colin Doyle is a 6'5" keeper who came over from Ireland to join the club as a 16-year-old Academy scholar in 2001.
Doyle has yet to make a first team appearance at Blues but he did gain useful experience in the Championship with Millwall during the 2005/06 season playing in 14 games on loan at the New Den.
He also spent time at League Two side Chester City and former Championship club Nottingham Forest during the previous campaign, making one and four appearances respectively.
The Cork-born shot stopper has represented the Republic of Ireland at various youth levels up to under 21.
